Explore a largely forgotten aspect of military life at the U.S. Army Quartermaster Museum, sharing and preserving the history of the oldest logistic branch of the Army. Charged with managing supplies including food, water, shelter, clothing and more, the quartermasters have excelled in their roles since the mid 1770s. The museum includes fascinating displays on Army life, how to cook for a hundred or clothe tens of thousands, antique styles of uniforms and more. Contained within Fort Lee, the museum is set just a short distance east from Petersburg National Battlefield.
